Luisa Piccarreta – One Who Lives in My Will Resurrects

Jesus to Luisa Piccarreta , April 20th, 1938:

My daughter, in My Resurrection, souls received the rightful claims to rise again in Me to new life. It was the confirmation and seal of My entire life, of My works and of My words. If I came to earth it was to enable each and every soul to possess My Resurrection as their own—to give them life and make them resurrect in My own Resurrection. And do you wish to know when the real resurrection of the soul occurs? Not in the end of days, but while it is still alive on earth. One who lives in My Will resurrects to the light and says: ‘My night is over.’ Such a soul rises again in the love of its Creator and no longer experiences cold of winter, but enjoys the smile of My heavenly spring. Such a soul rises again to holiness, which hastily disperses all weakness, misery and passions; it rises again to all that is heavenly. And should this soul look at the earth, the heavens or the sun, it does so to find the works of its Creator, and to take the opportunity to narrate to him his glory and his long love story. Therefore, the soul who lives in my Will can say, as the angel said to the holy women on the way to the sepulchre, ‘He is risen. He is not here anymore.’ Such a soul who lives in My Will can also say, ‘My will is no longer mine, for it has resurrected in God’s Fiat.’

Ah, my daughter, the creature always races more into evil. How many machinations of ruin they are preparing! They will go so far as to exhaust themselves in evil. But while they occupy themselves in going their way, I will occupy Myself with the completion and fulfillment of My Fiat Voluntas Tua  (“Thy will be done”) so that My Will reign on earth—but in an all-new manner. Ah yes, I want to confound man in Love! Therefore, be attentive. I want you with Me to prepare this Era of Celestial and Divine Love… —Jesus to Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta, Feb 8th, 1921

St. John writes in the Book of Revelation:

Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years. (Rev 20:4-6)

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC):

…[the Church] will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection. —CCC, n. 677

In the Era of Peace (see our Timeline), the Church will experience what St. John calls a “first resurrection.” Baptism is the resurrection of a soul to new life in Christ at all times. However, during the so-called “thousand years,” the Church, “while it is still alive on earth,” will collectively experience the resurrection of the “gift of living in the Divine Will” that was lost by Adam but regained for humanity in Christ Jesus. This will bring to fulfillment the prayer taught by Our Lord that His Bride has prayed for 2000 years: “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”

It would not be inconsistent with the truth to understand the words, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” to mean: “in the Church as in our Lord Jesus Christ himself”; or “in the Bride who has been betrothed, just as in the Bridegroom who has accomplished the will of the Father.” —CCC, n. 2827

This is why during the Era of Peace, the saints alive then will truly reign with Christ, since He will reign—not in the flesh on earth (the heresy of millenarianism)—but in them.

For as He is our resurrection, since in Him we rise, so He can also be understood as the Kingdom of God, for in Him we shall reign. —CCC, n. 2816

Only My Will makes soul and body rise again to glory. My Will is the seed of the resurrection to grace, and to the highest and most perfect sanctity, and to glory…. But the Saints who live in my Will—those who will symbolize my Resurrected Humanity—will be few. —Jesus to Luisa, April 2, 1923, Volume 15; April 15, 1919, Volume 12

What a time to be alive, for we can be numbered among those saints by giving our “fiat” to God and desire to receive this “Gift”!

To understand St. John’s symbolic language as understood by the Church Fathers, read The Resurrection of the Church.  To understand more about this “Gift”, read The Coming New and Divine Holiness and True Sonship by Mark Mallett at The Now Word. For a complete theological work on what the mystics are saying regarding the coming Era and the new sanctity coming to the Church, read Daniel O’Connor’s book: The Crown of Sanctity: On the Revelations of Jesus to Luisa Piccarreta.
