Many readers have conveyed a sense of abandonment by the shepherds of the Church during the course of this “pandemic.” Barred from their churches, left alone in long stretches of lockdowns, deprived even of the last rites in places — and a huge silence from vast portions of the hierarchy in lockstep with the government over clear violations of human dignity — has been painful for many, to say the least. And the sense of betrayal (or feeling that Mass is no longer relevant because that was the message, whether intended or not) is appearing in the numbers: As churches re-opened in many places, many have simply not returned, and don’t plan to.
What do you think the Lord would say about the universal sacramental shutdown within the Church that has deprived the faithful — among them many elderly and dying people — of the sacraments across the world? Such a thing has never happened in the 2,000-year history of the Church, not even in the hardest times of war, plague, and persecution. What would have happened if the Church had intensified its sacramental life? But instead, it acted according to the general secular logic, which does not know faith and causes the shutdown of the sacraments and the desolation of the places of pilgrimage, among other things (cf. the empty St. Peter’s Square). Nevertheless, on March 25 of last year, Pope Francis urged us to ask God for the end of the pandemic worldwide. So to what do our faith and reason have to refer: to trust in our own measures, which did not achieve the desired effect but caused enormous damage, or to God’s supernatural help? — His Excellency Marian Eleganti, auxiliary bishop of Chur, Switzerland; April 22nd, 2021; lifesitenews.com
But now, a Canadian bishop has chosen to ban all “unvaccinated” parishioners from the life-giving Sacraments[1]Only “doubly vaccinated” may attend all Masses; diomoncton.ca — an astonishing violation of conscience and contradiction of the Church’s express teaching that “vaccination is not, as a rule, a moral obligation and that, therefore, it must be voluntary.”[2]“Note on the morality of using some anti-Covid-19 vaccines”, n. 6; vatican.va As one person said wryly, “So much for ‘Let Us Build the City of God’ and ‘I am the Bread of Life.'”
But it’s also true that many priests have felt hamstrung from above, and some are already planning to “go underground” as they refuse to take part in a wholly secularized response to the crisis.
However, it would be wrong to believe that there are no voices crying out in the wilderness. This past week, a couple of priests on opposite sides of the globe gave powerful homilies rejecting both the medical apartheid forming in their countries and the heavy-handed “safety” measures of governments that are causing far more harm than good. We have taken an excerpt from each homily for your edification, to be encouraged that we are not without true shepherds willing to lay down their lives for their flocks…
A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Elizabeth Kindelmann
Through what became The Spiritual Diary, Jesus and Mary taught Elizabeth, and they continue to instruct the faithful in the divine art of suffering for the salvation of souls. Tasks are assigned for each day of the week, which involve prayer, fasting, and night vigils, with beautiful promises attached to them, laced with special graces for priests and the souls in purgatory. In their messages, Jesus and Mary say that The Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is the greatest grace given to mankind since the Incarnation. And in the not-so-distant future, her flame will engulf the entire world.

Thirdly, the messages have frequently been accompanied by visible phenomena, photographic evidence found in In Cammino con Maria, which cannot be the fruit of subjective imagination, notably the presence of the stigmata on Giselle’s body and and the appearance of crosses or religious texts in blood on Gisella’s arms. of the saints. It wasn’t until she became a “Daughter of Mary” that the nightmares finally ceased at the age of eleven. In the following year, Jesus began to speak interiorly to her especially after receiving Holy Communion. When she was thirteen, He appeared to her in a vision that she witnessed from the balcony of her home. There, in the street below, she saw a crowd and armed soldiers leading three prisoners; she recognized Jesus as one of them. When He arrived beneath her balcony, He raised his head and cried out: “Soul, help Me!” Deeply moved, Luisa offered herself from that day on as a victim soul in expiation for the sins of mankind.
immobile, rigid-like state that appeared almost as if she were dead. It was only when a priest made the sign of the Cross over her body that Luisa regained her faculties. This remarkable mystical state persisted until her death in 1947—followed by a funeral that was no little affair. During that period in her life, she suffered no physical illness (until she succumbed to pneumonia at the end) and she never experienced bedsores, despite being confined to her little bed for sixty-four years.
