The world is being unwittingly lured into a global revolution. The fuel for this revolutionary fire is division. These divisions are being incited by an infiltration of Marxist ideology that seeks to highlight and foment class, race, and gender divisions. Another label for this is “identity politics.”
Most dangerous is that, through the added societal pressure of political correctness,[1]cf. Political Correctness and the Great Apostasy many are falling into apostasy as they depart from the moral teachings of Christ and His Church, opting for half-truths (or outright lies) of the media and institutional indoctrination (ie. propaganda).
The Great Apostasy Unfolds
At the turn of the 19th century, Pope Leo XIII stated in his encyclical on the Holy Spirit that…
…he who resists the truth through malice and turns away from it, sins most grievously against the Holy Ghost. In our days this sin has become so frequent that those dark times seem to have come which were foretold by St. Paul, in which men, blinded by the just judgment of God, should take falsehood for truth, and should believe in “the prince of this world,” who is a liar and the father thereof, as a teacher of truth: “God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying (2 Thess. ii., 10). In the last times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to spirits of error and the doctrines of devils” (1 Tim. iv., 1). —Divinum Illud Munus, n. 10
So rampant and evident was the compromise of the faith, that only six years later, his successor would warn…
…that society is at the present time, more than in any past age, suffering from a terrible and deep-rooted malady which, developing every day and eating into its inmost being, is dragging it to destruction? You understand, Venerable Brethren, what this disease is—apostasy from God… When all this is considered there is good reason to fear lest this great perversity may be as it were a foretaste, and perhaps the beginning of those evils which are reserved for the last days; and that there may be already in the world the “Son of Perdition” of whom the Apostle speaks. —POPE ST. PIUS X, E Supremi, Encyclical On the Restoration of All Things in Christ, n. 3, 5; October 4th, 1903
St. John Paul II, who grew up in Communism, would indirectly characterize this apostasy or “rebellion” as the fruit of the “errors of Russia” that Our Lady warned about at Fatima.
Unfortunately, the resistance to the Holy Spirit which St. Paul emphasizes in the interior and subjective dimension as tension, struggle and rebellion taking place in the human heart, finds in every period of history and especially in the modern era its external dimension, which takes concrete form as the content of culture and civilization, as a philosophical system, an ideology, a program for action and for the shaping of human behavior… The system which has developed most and carried to its extreme practical consequences this form of thought, ideology and praxis is dialectical and historical materialism, which is still recognized as the essential core of Marxism. —POPE JOHN PAUL II, Dominum et Vivificantem, n. 56
Signs of the Coming Antichrist?
Jesus predicted these divisions and resistance to the truth when He said:
From now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three; a father will be divided against his son and a son against his father, a mother against her daughter and a daughter against her mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. (Luke 12:52-53)
Brother will hand over brother to death, and the father his child; children will rise up against parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by all because of my name, but whoever endures to the end will be saved. (Matthew 10:21-22)
Thus, wrote St. Cyril of Jerusalem:
Hatred of the brethren makes room next for Antichrist; for the devil prepares beforehand the divisions among the people, that he who is to come may be acceptable to them. —Church Doctor, (c. 315-386) Catechetical Lectures, Lecture XV, n.9
St. John Henry Newman would later write:
It is [Satan’s] policy to split us up and divide us, to dislodge us gradually from our rock of strength. And if there is to be a persecution, perhaps it will be then; then, perhaps, when we are all of us in all parts of Christendom so divided, and so reduced, so full of schism, so close upon heresy. When we have cast ourselves upon the world and depend for protection upon it, and have given up our independence and our strength, then [Antichrist] will burst upon us in fury as far as God allows him. —St. John Henry Newman, Sermon IV: The Persecution of Antichrist
Beware of “Half-truths”
One of the ways in which Satan, whom Jesus called “the father of lies”,[2]John 8:44 is dividing us, is through half-truths. The prevailing narratives and algorithms on mainstream and social media are designed to lead people to “stand with” this or that side; to take black-and-white positions without regard for nuance, balanced arguments, or logic. Hence, the world is beginning to tear at the seams with division, bursting out in war itself.
Hence, whether we are debating war, COVID-19, gender ideology, climate change, or any other predominant topic or political figure, there are increasingly extreme positions that fail to recognize the truth of all sides.
And that’s one of the themes Our Lady has frequently warned about through messages allegedly to Pedro Regis that we have published here on Countdown to the Kingdom. Here are but a few of the recent instances of her prophetic warnings that, from our standpoint, are now manifesting in spades:
Dear children, the enemies will act and confuse, spreading half-truths and lies. Many will be deceived and will walk like the blind leading the blind. Courage. In the defense of the truth is your victory. The truth is the light that illuminates. Do not retreat. —June 9, 2020
Dear children, spiritual confusion will spread everywhere and My poor children will be contaminated by false doctrines. Half-truth will be embraced and many will walk like the blind leading the blind. Stay with Jesus. Embrace the truth and do not allow the things of the world to separate you from My Jesus. —August 13, 2020
Humanity is walking in spiritual blindness because men have turned away from the Creator. Half-truth will increasingly spread and many of My poor children will be contaminated. Love and defend the truth. Open your hearts to the Lord’s Light and you will never be swept away by the mire of false doctrines. Pray much. —February 3, 2021
God’s enemies will act to keep you from the truth. Do not allow half-truth to lead you away from the path of salvation. Be faithful to the true Magisterium of the Church of My Jesus. Onward without fear. —March 6, 2021
Be attentive. There is no half-truth in God. The days will come when men will seek the truth and find it in few places. There will be great spiritual blindness, and many souls will be lost. —October 18, 2022
Dear children, the truth of my Jesus is light that illuminates all darkness. In half-truth there is the shadow of the enemy to deceive and lead people to the abyss. The Devil will deceive many by means of bad shepherds, and spiritual blindness will contaminate my poor children everywhere. Be attentive. —November 23, 2023
You are heading towards a painful future, for the enemies will find open doors and will enter the House of God. Half-truths will spread everywhere, and many of my poor children will walk like the blind leading the blind. It will be a time of pain for those who love and defend the Truth. Do not retreat. Remain firm on the path I have shown you. —November 27, 2025
